Accreditation

VUM operates an inspection body for the assessment of waste in accordance with Appendix 4 of the Landfill Ordinance 2008 (as amended). The inspection body (Type A) works in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020 and is accredited by Accreditation Austria (ID number: 0440). The following assessments are carried out by the inspection body:

Assessment of one-off waste

• Basic characterization of excavated material before starting the excavation or clearing activity (in-situ) // Annex 4 Part 2 Point 1.2 of the Landfill Ordinance 2008
• Basic characterization of excavated material after the start of the excavation or clearing activity (ex-situ) // Annex 4 Part 2 Point 1.3 of the Landfill Ordinance 2008
• Basic characterization of other, one-off waste // Annex 4 Part 2 Point 1.8 of the Landfill Ordinance 2008

Assessment of recurring waste

• Recurring waste // Annex 4 Part 2 Point 2 of the Landfill Ordinance 2008
• Waste streams // Annex 4 Part 2 Point 3 of the Landfill Ordinance 2008

Chemical-physical analyzes of waste, which form a basis for the assessment, are assigned by the inspection body to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited testing bodies.
